(인종차별 관련 영상)

강연하셨던 분은 아프리카계 미국인 분이셨는데 미국에서 형사 사법 제도에서는 인종에 따라, 빈부에 따라서도 차별을 당한다고 말씀하셨다. 법은 사람 사이에 정당함 등을 위해 만들어졌는데 법 자체가 인종에 따라 빈부에 따라서 차별을 둔다는 것 자체가 말이 안 된다고 생각했다. 왜 꼭 차별을 둬야하는걸까 라는 의문점도 들었다. 또한 아직도 알라바마 라는 지역에서는 흑인들 사이에 투표권을 가진 사람은 소수만이라는 것을 알게 되었다. 강연에서는 빈곤의 반대는 부가 아닌 정의다 라고 말씀하셨다. 처음에는 이해가 되지 않았는데 왜 정의다라고 주장하셨는지 강연자의 의도를 이해할 수 있었다. 아직도 흑인과 백인, 그 외에도 다양한 인종들의 차별이 존재한다는 것이 안타깝다고 느꼈다.

He was an African-American who said that in the United States, criminal justice system was discriminated against according to race and rich and poor. The law was created for justification among people, but it did not make sense that the law itself discriminated against the rich according to race. I also wondered why I should discriminate. Also, I found that there are still only a few people in the region of Alabama who have the right to vote among black people. In the lecture, he said, "The opposite of poverty is justice, not wealth." At first, I could understand the intention of the speaker why he insisted that it was justice. I still felt sorry for the discrimination of blacks, whites, and other races.
