Ted에 관한 영상을 처음 시청해서 재미 없지않을까라고 생각하면서 인권에 대한 동영상을 시청했는데 생각보다 엄청 흥미로웠다. 브라이언 스티븐슨이란 분은 주체성에 관한 강연을 해주셨는데 그 중 제일 기억에 남는건 그와 할머니가 얘기하는 부분이 제일 인상깊었는데 어릴적 할머니가 자신을 데려와 '널 지켜보고 있었는데 넌 정말 특별하다. 원하는 것은 다 이룰 수 있다,

그러니 앞으로 내가 하는 말 3가지만 앞으로 살면서 지켜달라'고 말하고, 진실을 알아서 낙담했지만, 현재까지 세가지원칙을 계속 지키면서 살아왔다고 하는 부분을 들으면서 나도 내 자신을 특별한 사람이라고 느끼면 내가 평소 잘 지키지 못했던 것도 지킬 수 있지 않을까? 하고 생각했다. 또한 미국 알라바마 주에서는 범죄경력이 있는 사람은 투표권이 박탈되기때문에 알라바마의 흑인 남자 34%는 투표권이 없다고 하는 장면과, 사형집행을 할때 백인보다 흑인이 사형선고 내려질 확률이 22배나 높다는 것을 보고 생각했던 것보다 인종차별이 심하게 느껴졌다는걸 알 수 있었다.
