One night reading camp

 On July 19-20, ‘Reading Poet Dongjoo’ a reading camp for the 2019 Star Night was held. The students took part in various activities in the reading camp. Before the start of the reading camp in earnest, a contest was held to select the kings of the Geunyoung debate. The two classes had a tense debate on the contrary about basic income system. The students who participated in the reading camp were judged by the panel and scored. After that students then held a wake up game called 'Jamggaepeu' produced by 'Mangal' for tired students late in the day. A number of literary questions were asked about the 'Jamggaepeu'. Students who woke up through the game watched the movie ‘Dong-joo’. This movie is a film about Dong-joo's experiences during the Japanese occupation days. After watching the movie, 'Jamggaepeu' prepared by "Mangal," was launched again to revitalize students who were tired of watching the movie and make sure they watched the movie properly. When students start waking up after the game, the challenging Geunyoung bell began. Students who didn’t seem motivated were also seen trying hard to answer the questions in a desire to win. The students cooperated with each other and showed a united figure. After the students got all of Golden Bell's questions right, there was a Yoon Dong-joo’s poetry parody contest. The contest was a parody of a poem by poet Yoon Dong-joo in each class. A number of poems by Yoon Dong-joo, which the students parodied, were used including "Star Hanging Night," "Road," "Surcy," and "A poem written easily". The students parodied poems based on various creative materials such as entrance exams, teachers, and studies. After all the classes finished their presentation, they moved on to the next activity, Visual Thinking. Visual thinking is a visual way of thinking that organizes one's thoughts through writing and images. Visual thinking allows students to organize their thoughts and develop memory and understanding. Visual thinking also had a presentation time for students. I could see the creative and organized ideas of the students. After the presentation of visual thinking, the reading camp was finished after cleaning, taking pictures, and breakfast. By offering snacks in the middle of the activities and prizes of various activities, students seem to have increased their participation and concentration that can be disrupted by long-term activities. With the reading camp, students seem to have developed their thinking skills, understanding and imagination and become closer to reading. This seems to be why reading camps are loved by students.
