IB MYP 에서는 두 개의 서로 다른 교과목 내용을 결합하여, 새롭고 창의적인 학문적 지식을 I.D.U. (간학문적 학습)로부터 구성합니다.

백산중학교에서는 과학 교과와 기술가정 교과가 뭉쳐서 '탄소중립 솔라쿠커 프로그램'을 구상했습니다.

먼저, 기술가정 교과에서는 식생활이 청소년기 성장과 건강에 미치는 영향과 영양의 중요성을 배우고

'슈퍼푸드' 재료와 관련된 요리의 주제를 정한 후에 재료를 구입, 손질하는 시간을 가졌으며, 

과학 교과에서도 과학적 탐구 방법과 생물다양성 보전의 필요성, 열의 이동방법을 배운 후

물을 가열하여 솔라쿠커 장치의 온도를 일정한 시간마다 측정해 시간-온도 그래프를 그렸습니다.

마지막으로 솔라쿠커에 손질한 재료들을 넣고, 태양빛을 가장 잘 모을 수 있게 솔라쿠커의 각도를 잘 맞춘 후 기다립니다.

충분한 시간이 흐른 후에 어느 정도 재료들이 익었음을 냄새로 확인했다면, 솔라쿠커를 열었을 때 요리의 완성을 확인할 수 있답니다.

참여한 학생 모두 안전 수칙을 지키며 열심히 협동하는 등 IB 학습자상인 '탐구하는 사람', '소통하는 사람'에 부합하는 모습을 보여주었습니다.

In the IB MYP, two distinct subject areas are combined to construct new and creative academic knowledge from the I.D.U.

Baeksan Middle School combined its science and technology/home economics courses to develop the 'Solar Cooker program'

First, in the technology/home economics subject, students learn about the impact of dietary habits on adolescent growth and health, as well as the importance of nutrition

After deciding on a cooking theme related to 'SUPERFOOD' ingredients, we took time to purchase and prepare the ingredients

After learning scientific inquiry methods, the necessity of biodiversity conservation, and methods of heat transfer in the science subject

While heating water, the temperature of the solar cooker device was measured at regular intervals, and the heating curve was plotted on a time-temperature graph.

Finally, place the prepared ingredients into the solar cooker, adjust its angle to best capture sunlight, and wait.

After sufficient time has passed, once you can confirm by smell that the ingredients are sufficiently cooked, you can check the doneness of the dish when you open the solar cooker. 

All participating students demonstrated the qualities of 'Inquirers' and 'Communicators' by diligently following safety rules and working together ^^
