An Impressive Message From The Principal

The 2020 was a tough year, when the students stopped going to school, and people couldn’t enjoy the daily life that they took for granted before due to the Covid-19. This situation made all the events in school unavailable, and ING also had a huge effect from this. As the club activities were reduced and the events that were supposed to be written in articles was ceased, ING went through a confusion. While then, ING got an opportunity to have an interview with the school principal and was able to gain some encouraging messages from her.

The principal first talked about the students’ attitude toward their lives. She said, “I hope you get along well with yourselves. There are times when you have a hard time because your self-esteem goes down endlessly.” Then she added, "But when you think about it, the main factor that forms your self-esteem is the way you see yourself. You should try to know yourself by your own rather than by other people's assessments. It's true courage to find your own unique side and know how to acknowledge yourself first." The principal emphasized acknowledging one’s true worth for several times. As another desirable attitude, she talked about having a good relationship with other people. She made us realize how much every little word will affect one’s feeling by saying, “I hope you remember the good influence of good words. When you're so tired, a word of comfort and hope from someone can change a person's life.”

Next, the principal finished the interview with a message of encouragement for Geunyoung students, who were having a hard time with the Corona 19. The principal gave us hope that although we as well as all countries in the world are suffering from Corona 19, we will overcome it wisely. Through this interview, we were able to look back on this year, and thanks to the principal's good message, we got an opportunity to overcome difficult times and improve further.
